How to make a resume for a specific vacancy

The recruiter evaluates your resume first. The more attractive the vacancy, the more responses are sent to him daily by e-mail. And if a company is looking for several employees at once, then the work becomes complicated. To speed up the process of initial selection, the recruiter checks the worst resumes ever submitted with the predefined parameters of the vacancy and selects the most suitable ones.

The title of the resume. The first thing you pay attention to is the position you are applying for. It must clearly correspond to what the employer indicated in the job description. There is one exception - position synonyms or close positions: office manager / secretary or SMM manager / social networks manager, etc.

Vacancy description. Study carefully. Analyze the wishes of the employer for the candidates for the position. Your resume should fit these needs. The text of the resume should broadcast: “I am the one you need!”
Therefore, you need to adjust it for a vacancy: look at its description and add suitable skills, competencies, knowledge and even personal qualities to the resume (of course, if you possess them). They should characterize you as a professional and be useful to the employer. At the same time, your resume should not look like an exact copy of the vacancy. Write in your own words. For example, if the employer is looking for “initiative” - become “active”, if you need “creative” - identify yourself as creative, and so on.

Achievements. One of the most important resume points. Operate with completed actions (done, created, assembled, worked out, etc.) and give numbers as an example. For example, an employer is looking for an active and independent sales manager, from whom he expects a specific result: an increase in the pool of partners, the number of transactions concluded. The applicant may note in the summary (the truth, of course): "During his time at Y, he doubled the active customer base, sales - by 20%."

Information about the company. Browse open sources, company website, reviews about it. An understanding of the leadership style, corporate culture of a potential employer may be useful.
For example, you are considering a vacancy of a small company with a “family atmosphere”. In the resume, you can add such personal qualities as friendliness and friendliness. List them among others.
If you are applying for the position of editor, but have the experience of a content manager or SMM specialist, you can indicate this in the resume. It can be useful both from the point of view of career growth, and - banally! - if necessary, temporarily replace the appropriate specialist for the duration of the illness or vacation. The employer will appreciate it.

Job search requires care and diligence. Take the time to create a few resumes - for each interesting position (of the employer). Help the recruiter distinguish you from the competition.

Is it worth writing about a hobby in a resume

Useful hobbies Useful for the applicant are those hobbies that complement the professional portrait or demonstrate desirable character traits for the profession. “For example, a person writes books, composes poetry. He has an active life in the corresponding social network for writers, lovers of poetry and more. And he himself works as a teacher at school, teaches English. Accordingly, the school administration understands that this person, with his hobby, can be used for out-of-school work - to create a theater studio or a circle of poetry. Accordingly, such hobbies strengthen his position as a professional, ”says Elena Yakhontova, professor at the Department of Corporate Governance of the Higher School of Corporate Governance (Higher School of Management) of the RANEPA. However, as a rule, the employer is not interested in the hobby itself, but in the correspondence of the hobby indicated in the resume to the traditional stereotype of the profession. “In the process of commu

CV salary

Why is it worth mentioning salary in resume? When compiling and posting a resume, you can specify the exact figure of the expected income or leave the “Salary from” field blank. Then, when saving the resume, the wording “contractual salary” will appear in it. In the latter case, applicants hope to get more offers, but it’s important for recruiters to navigate the financial requests of candidates: each job has a certain “plug”, and when searching for candidates, recruiters often work with a “financial” filter. And if the salary is not indicated in the resume, the personnel manager can leave this resume unattended (this is the worst case scenario) or clarify your salary expectations by phone (this option is possible when searching for specialists, managers, etc.). How to understand how much to indicate? Most importantly, your salary should be “in the market”. In order to evaluate yourself correctly, conduct your own monitoring.
